According to Showbiz 411, the Oscar nominee is circling the male lead in the dramedy starring Charlize Theron.
The film centres on an author of young adult novels (Theron) who moves back to her hometown following a divorce and begins to stalk her high school boyfriend, now married with a family.
Brolin is also appearing in the upcoming Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.
