California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger flew to Las Vegas earlier this week to help promote his new action film The Expendables.

According to The AP, Schwarzenegger, who has a cameo in the film, appeared with Expendables co-star Sylvester Stallone at a number of promotional events on Wednesday.

At the movie's Los Angeles premiere last week, Schwarzenegger was faced with state union workers who protested the Terminator star's appearance by carrying signs that read 'State Workers Are Not Expendable'.

The Expendables, which opens in US cinemas today, also stars Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren and Steve Austin.
