Wright: 'Cera is extraordinary actor'

The filmmaker told Reuters that Cera brought a duality to the role of Scott Pilgrim in the movie, which is based on the long-running series of graphic novels.
"On one hand, he brings this unique, Everyman feel to it, and on the flip side he rocks out and he kicks ass and sometimes all three in the same scene," he said.
Wright noted that Cera was his only choice for Scott Pilgrim because of the actor's expressiveness and physical resemblance to the animated version of the character.
"I think sometimes people would take it for granted what an extraordinary performer Michael is," said the director. "He's incredibly expressive and he even looks like the character."
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is showing now in US cinemas.
