Mandy Moore to star in new comedy

Mandy Moore has signed on to play Diane Keaton's daughter in new comedy Because I Said So, Variety reports.
According to the magazine, Keaton will star as an "over-zealous mother" who wants to find the perfect man for her oldest daughter, played by Moore.
The film has not yet begun filming, with production due to start in December 2005. It will be directed by Michael Lehmann, whose previous credits include dark comedy Heathers.
Moore's next appearance will be in musical comedy Southland Tales alongside 'The Rock,' otherwise known as Dwayne Johnson.
