Animation Oscar longlist announced

The names of the films to make the longlist for the Academy Award for best animated feature have been revealed.

The list of ten films, including Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were Rabbit and Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, will be whittled down to the final nominees, which will be announced on January 31.

Films to make the longlist are:

  • Chicken Little

  • Gulliver's Travel

  • Hoodwinked

  • Howl's Moving Castle

  • Madagascar

  • Robots

  • Steamboy

  • Tim Burton's Corpse Bride

  • Valiant

  • Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

    • The winner will be announced on March 5.
