According to The Hollywood Reporter, Woll joins Marcia Gay Harden, Lucy Liu, Ellen Burstyn and Stephen Lang in the ensemble picture.
The story centres on an isolated young man (Toby Regbo) who deals with his dysfunctional family before moving away to college.
Woll will play the man's sister, a fledgling writer who is dating a married professor.
The film is based on a novel by Peter Cameron. Roberto Faenza is directing.
Filming is scheduled to begin in September in New York.
Woll also recently landed a role in upcoming Bruce Willis drama Catch .44 and sports drama Seven Days in Utopia.
