US box office charmed by 'Potter'

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has taken a magnificent $101.4m in its opening weekend in the US.
Last week's number one Chicken Little fell to third place with weekend earnings of $14.8m, behind the week's second highest new entry, Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line.
The J.K. Rowling adaptation's success sets a new record for a November opening, ahead of 2001's The Sorcerer's Stone which debuted with $90.3m. It is also the second-biggest opener of the year, following Revenge of the Sith.
