David Bowie has entered talks to appear in Christopher Nolan's thriller The Prestige, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on Christopher Priest's 1996 novel of the same name, the movie will star Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale as two rival magicians seeking each other's trade secrets in turn-of-the-century London. So deep is their rivalry that it drives them to murder.
In his first movie appearance since 2000's Mr Rice's Secret, Bowie would take the role of Nikola Tesla, a character based on the scientist who discovered the rotating magnetic field. Michael Caine also stars.
