'Congeniality' director plans rom-com

Donald Petrie (Miss Congeniality) has agreed to helm romantic comedy Chasing Dinner, The Hollywood Reporter states.
The film tells the story of a small town whose residents' lives are thrown into disarray when three pigs destined for slaughter escape. A media cicus soon erupts over the "hams on the lam (run)".
Written by Bruce Evans and Ray Gideon (Stand By Me), shooting is scheduled for early next year.
