Cult novel set for movie adaptation

Dimension Films has acquired the rights to C.D. Payne's novel Youth in Revolt, Variety has revealed.
The novel is a coming-of-age story about a sixteen-year-old who keeps a journal of his ongoing efforts to dispose of his virginity.
Gustin Nash has written the adaptation which is described as being akin to American Pie and Portnoy's Complaint.
The film is set to begin production next year.
