Speaking to MTV, Lang said that the upcoming adventure film would incorporate magic and supernatural characters and situations, mirroring Robert E. Howard's original Conan books.
Lang said: "If you read Robert Howard, of course, the Conan stories and novellas, magic, supernatural plays a huge, huge part in them - fakirs and magicians and wizards all over the place."
He added: "Magic is part of that world. The magic in this film, there's a lot of it and there's a lot of action-magic as well, a lot of magical fighting."
The Avatar star plays warlord Khalar Singh in director Marcus Nispel's movie starring Jason Momoa as the title character.
Conan opens in 2011.
