The actress, who stars in the singer's directorial debut W.E. about Britain's King Edward VIII, revealed that she was blindsided when Madonna asked her to read a part of the script that was in a foreign language.
Wallis told The Daily Telegraph: "Madonna asked me to read in the foreign parts in rehearsals, before those parts had been cast.
"I was stumbling over every word and it soon became clear that I may have been exaggerating slightly when I wrote that I was fluent on my CV. When you are being directed by your idol, it is not the best time to be caught out but she was actually really great about it."
It was reported that Madonna recently aggravated the cast and crew of her forthcoming film.
