The stars of the first film, Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis are expected to return as the heroes, though Julian McMahon will not be back, having instead decided to star opposite Sandar Bullock in Premonition.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, studio 20th Century Fox are hoping for a July 4, 2007 release. The original was intended to be released on July 4 of this year, but instead moved to avoid direct competition with Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds.
The Fantastic Four DVD is out now.
