The actress, who plays Ann Darrow in the movie, was forced to film a scene on the top of one of America's tallest buildings.
"I didn't think I was scared of heights until I went up to the top of the Empire State Building," Watts is quoted by The Sun as saying. "It was an incredibly windy day and has a very low ledge. It is only about 4ft high and you could fall over. There is no safety rail."
Director Peter Jackson added, "Naomi's finger nail marks are still up the top of the tower!"
