Rock not returning as Oscars host

Chris Rock will not host next year's Oscars, it has been confirmed.
The star's publicist, Matt Labov, released a short statement confirming the news, but failed to elaborate. He told the New York Times that Rock would "like to do it again down the road."
Rock's 2005 hosting was controversial due to his jokes at the expense of stars like Colin Farrell and Jude Law, which prompted Sean Penn to defend Law as "one of our finest actors" when he took to the stage.
There has been no comment on the hosting duties from the Academy Awards, but the selection is expected to be announced in the next few weeks.
