Barrymore: 'I'd like to play Debbie Harry'

Drew Barrymore has revealed that she would like to play Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry.

The actress/director was quizzed by Spin about who she would most like to portray in a rock biopic.

Barrymore quipped: "Debbie Harry, so I could steal the wardrobe."

Asked if she still listened to the music made by men she had dated, the ex-girlfriend of drummer Fabrizio Moretti added: "Oh my God, yes. The Strokes are one of my favourite bands ever. 'Meet Me in the Bathroom' is great."

Quizzed about her top karaoke song, Barrymore said: "I always do the Beastie Boys' 'Paul Revere'. I'm going to sound like a jackass, so I might as well pick a good song and be a cooler jackass."
