Kick-Ass 2 director Matthew Vaughn will begin work on the film after he has finished on Fox's X-Men: First Class, reports ICv2.
The sequel was in the works before the release of the first movie, which was based on Millar and John Romita Jr's Icon comics miniseries.
Despite the first film's disappointing performance at the box office, the sequel still looks likely to go ahead.
