The star had been sued for $8.3 million (£5 million) by the producers of the sorority movie over allegations that she failed to sufficiently promote its DVD release.
According to The AP, a district judge in Miami has decided that Hilton could owe money to the investors for allegedly refusing to do interviews to promote the project with British and Russian outlets.
It is reported that the judge wants to gather further information on her contract before making his final decision, although a preliminary figure of $160,000 (£104,000) has been suggested.
A representative for Hilton has yet to comment.
