Universal Pictures are developing Our Family Troubles as a starring vehicle for Reese Witherspoon, Variety has revealed.
Grounded in a spec script by Don Winston, the supernatural drama will feature Witherspoon as a first-time mother as who begins to question her own sanity after experiencing a string of strange phenomena. Returning to her Tennessee home, she becomes convinced that the legendary Bell Witch is out to harm her son.
The movie, which will receive a new title before its release, will be produced by Witherspoon and her Type A Films partner Jennifer Simpson.
