Fox Filmed Entertainment has announced it is creating a division to produce films for teenagers.

The new department will develop up to eight movies and focus on creating related content for mobiles, the internet and other technologies.

It will work closely with Fox Interactive Media, My Space and IGN and be headed by Peter Rice, who has released movies such as Napoleon Dynamite, Garden State and Sideways as president of Fox Searchlight.
