Johnny Depp named highest-paid actor

According to Forbes, the actor was paid £50m for playing the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's remake of Alice in Wonderland. He is also said to have recently earned £15m upfront for starring alongside Angelina Jolie in The Tourist.
Depp featured on last year's list at number 10, having reportedly earned £18m. Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is the only British actor in the top 10, having made an estimated £16.6m in the last year.
Earnings were calculated following discussions with agents, managers, producers and lawyers to discover how much the film stars were paid. The percentage of box office profits that each actor receives was also taken into account.

9. Brad Pitt - £13.3m
10. George Clooney - £12.6m
