The 20-year-old actress, who had shown a preference for independent films before winning the part of Bella Swan in Twilight, admitted that her loved ones were never comfortable seeing her talent restricted to film festivals and small audiences.
"My mother was so excited when I got the Twilight gig," she told Virgin Media. "My whole family were. Before Twilight they were like, 'Why are you doing all these Sundance movies that no-one will see?'"
Stewart recently commented on the close bond she shares with her family and declared her mother to be her biggest role model.
