Al Pacino and Robert De Niro may reunite on screen to star in Martin Scorsese's The Irishman.

According to Deadline, Joe Pesci is also circling a role in the crime drama, which tracks the true-life story of union official-turned-mob hitman Frank 'The Irishman' Sheeran.

Steve Zallian penned the script for the film based on Sheeran's book I Heard You Paint Houses.

Pacino and De Niro appeared in The Godfather Part II and shared the screen in Heat and Righteous Kill.

Pesci, meanwhile, has worked with De Niro and Scorsese before on Goodfellas, Casino and Raging Bull.
