The third film in Pixar's flagship animated series held off competition from Inception and Kick-Ass to bag the 'Best Movie' gong following voting on a month-long poll, which ran on DS throughout August.
The acting awards saw Inception's Leonardo DiCaprio emerge ahead of Nicolas Cage and Ashton Kutcher for 'Best Actor', while Kick-Ass's Chloe Moretz bagged the 'Best Actress' prize for her role as child assassin Hit-Girl.
James Cameron's record-breaking blockbuster Avatar has been named 'Best 3D Movie'. Other winners include Simon Pegg ('Best Tweeter'), Drew Barrymore's directorial debut Whip It! ('Hidden Gem') and Clash Of The Titans ('Turkey Award').
Winter's Bone's Jennifer Lawrence, soon to be seen in X-Men: First Class, was selected for the 'Star Of The Future' prize. The 20-year-old actress has also featured in indie dramas The Burning Plain and The Poker House.
Back To The Future is honoured with the 'Icon Award'. The time-travelling '80s classic, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, will return to UK cinemas next month for a two-week cinema run.
"Oh, I'm so excited about it. It's just great, I hope something like that happens over here in the US," Back To The Future co-creator and producer Bob Gale told DS of the re-release.
Discussing Back To The Future's status as an iconic film, Gale added: "It feels great to have an iconic movie on your resume. Nobody knows what movie is going to make that shortlist and it surprises anybody."
