Speaking to New York Magazine at the premiere of Philip Seymour Hoffman's directorial debut Jack Goes Boating, the Mr Big actor railed against the mediocre reviews that Sex And The City 2 received on its release in May.
"It's over," he said. "The franchise is dead. The press killed it.
"Your magazine f**king killed it. New York Magazine. It's like all the critics got together and said, 'This franchise must die'. Because they all had the exact same review. It's like they didn't see the movie."
The 56-year-old then reportedly ended the interview by asking: "Got any more gum?"
