Business world fooled by 'Narnia' hoax
Published Tuesday, Jan 3 2006, 16:03 GMT | By Daniel Saney

According to Australian newspaper The Age, a number of reputable business sites including Forbes.com told their readers that representatives of C.S. Lewis' fictional world had stormed out of a recent WTO conference in Hong Kong.
The press release, issued by "the independent state of Narnia", explained that the state was frustrated with the way in which it is constantly pushed around by Europe and the United States. A clue as to the release's validity came in the form of quotations from spokeswoman Susan Aslan, Aslan being the name of the messianic lion in C.S. Lewis' books.
Walden Media's current screen adaptation of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, one of 2005's biggest movies, is still being shown in cinemas.
