According to IGN, Norton has hinted at auditioning for a role in the upcoming third film in Nolan's rebooted Batman franchise.
"Chris Nolan's making the best ones out there by far," Norton said of the director. "I'd do one with him - he's set a new bar for sure."
Norton admitted that it would be fun to work with Nolan on the new film, and suggested that he would be open to the idea of playing the part of supervillain The Riddler.
Inception actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Johnny Depp have also both been heavily linked with the role, which was played by Jim Carey in Batman Forever back in 1995.
Norton was recently replaced by Mark Ruffalo as the character of The Hulk in Marvel Comics upcoming Avengers film.
