Emma Stone 'may join 21 Jump Street'

Emma Stone has been announced as a potential candidate for the upcoming big-screen version of 21 Jump Street.

Stone, who recently appeared in Easy A, would play the female lead opposite Get Him To The Greek star Jonah Hill, according to Cinematical.

21 Jump Street follows a police unit that sends officers undercover into a high school as students. The original 1980s television series starred Johnny Depp.

Hill and Josh Appelbaum have written the script for the adaptation and Phil Lord will direct, with production beginning early next year.
