House star Olivia Wilde has been cast in Andrew Niccol's forthcoming as-yet-untitled thriller.

The Wrap reports that Wilde will star as the mother of Justin Timberlake's character, despite the fact that the two actors are only three years apart in age.

The project, formerly titled I'm.mortal, follows a society where humans cease ageing at 25.

Wilde previously starred with Timberlake and fellow co-star Amanda Seyfried in Nick Cassavetes's 2007 crime drama Alpha Dog, and she will also appear in this year's science-fiction sequel Tron: Legacy.

The film is currently scheduled for release in 2011.
