Kimbra Hickey's hands can be seen clasping a red apple on the cover of the first instalment of Stephenie Meyer's vampire saga, which has since been adapted into a film franchise starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
According to the New York Post, the massage therapist - who works part-time as a hand and foot model - has now admitted that she is interested in pursing an acting career and would love to appear in the upcoming Breaking Dawn.
"If I could get a little background part, it would be fantastic," she told the newspaper. "Even if they only wanted my hands in it."
Hickey went on to say that she enjoys telling people that it is her hands on the cover when she sees them with the book: "I see people reading it on the subway, and I say, 'Those are my hands! I'm a hand model!' I'm sure they think I'm crazy - a crazy lady on the subway."
She has also reportedly started attending fan conventions for the vampire series where she offers an apple-scented hand lotion for sale and has been asked to sign copies of the novel by fans, admitting that she is now "a little goofy" about her recognition from the book.
