DeVito collects award for Michael Douglas

Danny DeVito has collected an award on behalf of friend Michael Douglas, as the Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps actor undergoes treatment for throat cancer.

Douglas was honoured with the Golden Icon Award at the Zurich Film Festival on Sunday night.

Speaking to the audience in Switzerland, DeVito said: "Michael is so strong. He gets better and better with every movie he makes.

"So that's why I tell him to work more."

DeVito has previously spoken about his confidence in Douglas's prognosis, saying that the actor will "kick" the illness.
