
King Kong enjoyed a narrow victory over The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe last weekend, making a return to the top of the UK box office chart.
Kong took £2.2m over the weekend, whilst Narnia was close behind with £2.1m. The rankings featured three new entries, the highest being comedy Just Friends in third place.
Meanwhile, the heavily-nominated and critically-lauded Brokeback Mountain debuted in fourth place, with Match Point trailing in seventh place.
