Joaquin Phoenix has signed up to re-team with his The Yards director James Gray in We Own the Night.
According to Production Weekly, the movie follows night club manager Joseph's efforts to save his brother and father who are on a hitlist of a Russian narcotics gang targeting NYPD officers.
Robert Duvall and Eva Mendes are already on board to star in the film. Director Gray also wrote the screenplay.
