David Fincher (Fight Club) will direct Torso, an adaptation of the graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis and Marc Andreyko.
The film will centre on real-life federal agent Eliot Ness (of The Untouchables fame) and his life after he closes the Al Capone case and moves to Cleveland. Once there, he vows to clean the town up but is confronted with a series of horrific crimes known as the 'Torso Murders'.
Ehren Kruger (The Skeleton Key) will adapt the story for screen. Bill Mechanic, Don Murphy, Todd McFarlane and Terry Fitzgerald are producing.
