Willis starred as Hartigan in director Rodriguez's original Sin City movie.
The character died at the end of the film, but the helmer said that he still hopes to bring Willis back for the sequel.
"I wanna bring him back for Sin City because he's so badass," Rodriguez said during a live Facebook chat, reports The Playlist.
He also indicated that Sin City 2 could be his next movie after Spy Kids 4.
