Rourke, Schweiger sign for 'The Courier'

Mickey Rourke has apparently signed to appear in upcoming action thriller The Courier.

The Watchmen star Jeffrey Dean Morgan will play the film's protagonist, a special deliveryman who gets caught up among criminals and police officers when he is tasked to make a delivery to a crime boss.

Although Rourke's role has yet to be clarified, it is rumoured that he may play the crime boss.

Inglourious Basterds actor Til Schweiger will appear as an FBI agent.

The Courier, to be directed by Hany Abu-Assad, will begin filming later this month.
