'Wolverine 2' plot rumours emerge

Rumours concerning the plot for the upcoming sequel to Wolverine: Origins have begun to emerge.

It was reported last week that Requiem For A Dream director Darren Aronofsky is in talks to direct the film.

Coming Soon claims that the story will see Logan travel to Japan and begin a romance with a Japanese woman called Mariko, who is engaged to another man.

This conflict will reportedly result in Wolverine having to face-off against the woman's family, including both ninjas and samurai, following a similar plot to comic book writer Chris Claremont's original Wolverine series.

Screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie declared that he had finished the film's script earlier this year with production scheduled to begin as early as January 2011.
