The Aussie actress, who split from Underbelly star Matthew Newton after he allegedly attacked her in a Rome hotel earlier this year, is scheduled to attend the Melbourne premiere of Summer Coda tomorrow night.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Taylor is also starting pre-production on new Working Dog movie 25 during her visit.
The film's producer Michael Hirsch said: "Rachael is young, she's beautiful and she's really talented and we know she will be great in this film."
Josh Lawson, Felicity Ward, Jodi Gordon and Christian Clarke also star in the movie.
