Louise Redknapp will make her movie debut in The Hot Potato.

The TV presenter has been cast as Ray Winstone's wife in the British crime comedy, which is being directed by Tim Lewiston on location in Belgium and the UK.

Colm Meaney, Jack Huston, David Harewood, John Lynch, Phil Davis, Derren Nesbitt, Lois Winstone, Maike Bilitis and Jean Louis Sbille round out the cast.

Based on true events, The Hot Potato takes place in 1969 and centres on two men - Kenny (Winstone) and Danny (Huston) - who stumble upon a large lump of Uranium.

First-time director Lewiston said of the project: "It’s a great story and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to tell it with such a dream cast of international talent. As Orson Welles remarked, this is the biggest electric train set a boy ever had!"
