Jaden Smith for new Shyamalan project?

M. Night Shyamalan is reportedly working on a new science fiction project with Will Smith's son in mind for a starring role.

The Hollywood Reporter suggests that Shyamalan will work with Smith's production company Overbrook on the project, currently titled One Thousand A.E..

The Book of Eli scribe Gary Whitta will write the film's script, while Shyamalan is to direct.

It is claimed that the lead role in the film is being developed for Jaden Smith, who recently starred in the Karate Kid remake.

One Thousand A.E. is currently without a studio.
