The Michael Epstein-directed documentary combines archive footage and contemporary interviews with those that lived and worked with Lennon during his time in New York from 1971 to his murder in 1980.
In a post on its official Twitter feed, the British Film Institute revealed: "Exciting news: YokoOno will be attending the LFF screening of LennoNYC 28th Oct."
LennoNYC shows at a fully-booked screening at NFT2 on October 27. Tickets are still available for the October 28 screening at London's Vue West End.
