Affleck added to 'Tower Heist' cast

Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick and Judd Hirsch are the latest additions to the cast of Ben Stiller's Tower Heist.

The Universal comedy, to be directed by Rush Hour's Brett Ratner, centres on a group of maintenance staff who decide to burgle their fraudulent boss after he steals their pensions.

Alan Alda, Tea Leoni, Eddie Murphy, Gabourey Sidibe and Michael Pena will also work on the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Affleck will play a friend of Stiller's maintenance manager, while Broderick is taking on the role of a fired Wall Street broker who joins the heist.

Tower Heist is scheduled to be released in 2011.
