Tom Hanks to present an Oscar

Tom Hanks has agreed to present an Academy Award at the 2006 Oscars in March.
Having himself won two Oscars for his performances in Philadelphia and Forrest Gump, Hanks will join the likes of Hilary Swank, Morgan Freeman, Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Foxx in presenting at the event.
The nominees will be announced on January 31, with the awards ceremony itself following on March 5.
