Gyllenhaal 'filmed nude scenes for new film'

Jake Gyllenhaal has revealed that he filmed several nude scenes for his new film Love And Other Drugs.

Speaking to Esquire UK, Gyllenhaal admitted that he was surprised by how often he had to strip down for director Edward Zwick's latest drama.

"I was naked a lot in the movie," he said. "I was naked in more of it than was even in the final cut. A director's cut? I don't even know how that would be rated."

The actor also opened up about filming with co-star Anne Hathaway and suggested that staying in tune with one another was important in making sure that their love scenes will appear realistic.

Gyllenhaal explained: "We talked about what we thought was sexy, about what were the things that interested us, and through the discussion became pretty intimate with each other...

"Anne and I had already had sex on film [in 2005's Brokeback Mountain]. There's something about the way Annie and I both work which is inherently very musical. It’s all about rhythm. There's a rhythm to writing, there's a rhythm to sports, there's a rhythm to sex."

Love And Other Drugs is released on November 24 in US cinemas.
