Freida Pinto has revealed that she was unsure if she would ever be able to top the success of her first feature film Slumdog Millionaire.

Speaking to BlackBook Magazine, the star admitted that idea of following up the success of the 2009 'Best Picture' Oscar winner was daunting.

"When your first film happens to be such a big success, there's going to be pressure and expectations, and people are going to dissect you in a way that's almost uncomfortable," she said.

"I was worried people might dismiss me as someone who had 20 minutes in a film and now considers herself a big star. But it's like, my god, I never asked for this."

The actress also refused to comment on whether she is engaged to her Slumdog Millionaire co-star Dev Patel.

"Dev had such a problem trying to tell people that was not true. I've decided not to answer stupidity with more stupidity," she said.

Pinto previously claimed that she prefers starring in independent films rather than Bollywood epics.
