The duo, who worked together on 1999 film Three Kings, have apparently opened talks about a new crime drama from New Line/Warner Bros.
According to Deadline, Cube would star as a tough police detective in the R-rated drama inspired by aggressive cop movies of the 1970s like Dirty Harry.
Russell is on board to co-produce the project with Cube.
The film could kick off a potential franchise, according to the report.
