Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings, King Kong), has signed on to appear in The Prestige, according to Moviehole.net.
Starring Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman, the film is an adaptation of Christopher Priest's 1996 novel about two competing magicians in turn-of-the-century London desperate to acquire each other's trade secrets.
Serkis will play the assistant of the character played by David Bowie. Also appearing in the movie are Michael Caine and Scarlett Johansson.
