Joel and Ethan Coen will film an adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel No Country for Old Men.
Set in Texas in 1980, it will centre on Llewellyn Moss, a young Vietnam veteran-turned-farmhand who stumbles across the scene of an ill-fated drugs deal. After taking the money he finds he is hunted down by two angry assassins who want to retrieve it.
No cast is yet confirmed, but Tommy Lee Jones and Javier Bardem are in talks to star, reports Variety.
The Coens adapted the script, and Ethan will produce along with Scott Rudin. Shooting is to begin in May in New Mexico and Texas.
