Published Friday, Feb 3 2006, 09:43 GMT | By Daniel Saney
Millennium Films will create an adaptation of Irvin D. Yalom's best-seller When Nietzsche Wept.
First published in 1992, Yalom's novel imagines an encounter between philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and one of the founders of psychoanalysis, Viennese doctor Josef Breuer. The meeting occurs in 1882, where the latter must help the philosopher battle pain and despair.
Pinchas Perry will direct from his own screenplay, and will also produce. Shooting is scheduled to begin in March, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
