Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet and The Office duo John Krasinski and Ed Helms have all been rumoured for roles in "GaGa's entourage", according to Production Weekly.
'Bad Romance' singer GaGa famously took Kermit The Frog as her date to the 2009 VMAs. Earlier that year she wore an outfit made entirely out of Kermits for an interview on German TV.
Glee's Jane Lynch has been confirmed for The Muppets cast as a prison guard, while Community star Donald Glover and Danny Trejo have also joined the Disney film.
Jason Segel co-wrote the script for The Muppets and will take on the lead role of Gary. Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Rashida Jones and Kristen Schaal are also said to be among the cast.
The Muppets - the series' first big screen outing since 1999's Muppets From Space - will open on Christmas Day 2011.
